Winter Is Coming

The wind whispered through the dark. Winter is coming, and with winter comes the confusion of darkness vs. light.

Winter brings me relief.

Relief from the burning heat of summer that seemed to never end.

Relief from the burning leaf piles sending embers tumbling with the wind creating fires to distant places.

Winter brings a blanket filled with the chill of stillness.

If I’m lucky, winter may cover the ground with silencing snow.

It’s a time to sink within and hug my sunshine.

To nurture my soul with the wonder that surrounds me.

Replay memories of yesterday, extracting the lessons and wisdom they’ve gifted my future self.

Winter kills off the unwanted scavengers feeding off of my glow.

Winter allows for my healing energy to replenish.

Winter restores my restful side and nourishes my entirety.

Winter fills my reservoir with golden light that will energize and carry me through another year.

Winter is my necessary season closing the circle bringing me back to my true human self.
