Beyond Teaching

Group Coaching for Educators who give everything and are left feeling empty.

You've proven yourself capable, resilient, and strong. But somewhere along the way, the path that once felt clear has become clouded with questions: Is this still what I want? Am I leading in a way that honors who I've become? What if there's more?

You became a teacher because something in you said ‘yes’ to showing up for kids. But somewhere between the lesson plans, the parent emails, the behavior management, and the meetings that could have been memos — that ‘yes’ got quieter.

Beyond Teaching is a 6-week group coaching experience built for teachers who are still showing up every day but running on fumes. This isn't another workshop about classroom strategies or self-care checklists. This is the work underneath all of that — getting back to the person inside the professional, so you can teach from your strength instead of your survival.

In a small cohort of 6–10 teachers, you'll work through the real questions:

  • Who am I outside this role?

  • What have I stopped feeling?

  • What do I actually need and want out of my life?

Using the #SoulHappy methodology — grounded in intuitive coaching, shadow work, and the Three F's framework — you'll name what's been draining you, rebuild your four personal pillars (Peace, Positivity, Possibility & Playfulness), and leave with a sustainability plan that doesn't require you to become a different person.

This isn't about doing more. It's about doing what matters, with clarity and purpose.

Answers you didn’t know were possible.

This coaching program is not about becoming a better teacher. This is about becoming a whole person again — who happens to teach. The classroom benefits, but that's not why we're here. You are why we're here.

  • Throughout the 6 week cohort group of educators, you will learn new techniques for sustainable solutions to thrive forward:

    • Your identity underneath your role - who you were before the classroom defined you, and who you still are outside of it.

    • The drain you've normalized — separating what's actually happening from the stories you've been creating because of past overwhelm, using the Three F's: Facts, Feel It, Figure It Out.

    • The conditioned version of yourself — where the "good teacher" script came from, what it's costing you, and how to discover a new robust authentic version of who you are and will become.

    • The emotions you've been managing instead of feeling — naming what's uncomfortable without blame, shame or bypassing, because what you don't process, your students absorb.

    • The unmet needs you've stopped acknowledging — what you're actually hungry for personally and professionally that has nothing to do with your job.

    • The four pillars — Peace, Playfulness, Positivity, and Possibility — rebuilt inside your real life, not a version of it you have to wait for summer to access.

  • There is something uniquely powerful about being in a room full of people who understand the particular exhaustion of teaching — without having to explain it.

You won't need to translate the complexity of loving a job that is simultaneously breaking you down. They already know. That shared knowing is not just comforting — it's the foundation that makes this transitional work sustainable.

When a teacher across the screen says I don't even recognize myself anymore and every other person in the room nods without a word — something releases. The isolation breaks. The shame softens. And the real work begins.

That moment doesn't happen in isolation. It only happens in community. That's not a bonus feature of Beyond Teaching. That's built into the design.

  • ✦ A private 1:1 intake virtual call before the group begins — so you feel known as an individual before stepping into the cohort

✦ 6 bi-weekly group coaching sessions (60 minutes each) built on the #SoulHappy framework

✦ A cohort of no more than 10 educators — intimate enough to go deep, diverse enough to learn from each other

✦ Between-session reflection prompts — one per session, nothing that adds to your already full plate

✦ Peer accountability built into every session — because change sticks when someone is holding it with you

✦ Access to the Beyond Teaching client framework and handouts throughout the 6 weeks

✦ A closing integration session where you leave with a personal sustainability plan — not a list of goals, but a living map of how you stay whole inside a demanding profession

  • Beyond Teaching is for you if:

    • You are still showing up for your students every day but running on something closer to obligation than passion

    • You've lost track of who you are outside the classroom and aren't sure when that happened

    • You feel like the job is consuming you — and you're not sure if that's sustainable, or even if you want it to be

    • You carry the weight of your students' struggles home with you and have no real place to put it down

    • You've tried the self-care advice and it hasn't touched what's actually going on

    • You want to do something real — not another professional development checkbox — but actual inner work in a room with people who get it

    • You're not ready to quit. But you need something to change.

  • Beyond Teaching is not a teacher training program, a classroom management course, or a substitute for professional mental health support.

If you are currently in a mental health crisis, please reach out to a licensed professional first. This program is for teachers who are ready and able to engage in reflective, personal coaching work — and who are willing to show up honestly for themselves, not just their students.

    • Paid in full = $390

    • Or 2 Payments of $234

Meet the Instructor

Alison Schuh Hawsey

I'm not a classroom teacher. But I've been close to education my entire adult life — and I've never taken what educators do for granted.

As a mom of two high school boys, one of whom has high-functioning autism. I know what it means to be on the receiving end of a teacher who shows up fully for a kid who requires more — and I have never forgotten what that costs you or what it means to our family.

  • I helped start the PTO at Joe T. Robinson Elementary in Little Rock in 2016.

  • I ran the Junior Achievement office for Northern Colorado and Wyoming and personally taught their economic literacy programs in K - 12 grade classrooms.

I have been inside schools, inside the gaps, and inside the conversations between parents and educators long enough to understand what teachers are actually carrying — and how rarely anyone asks if they're okay. I am passionate about the teachers who keep education thriving for kids. And I believe you deserve the same level of care and attention you give every single day.

What I bring to Beyond Teaching is 25+ years of experience in human behavior, organizational development, and intuitive transformation coaching — and a genuine ability to read what's underneath what you're saying and get to the real work faster than you expect.

I have done my own inner work. I'm not asking you to go anywhere I haven't already been willing to go myself.

You don't have to choose between the profession and yourself. But you do have to do the work.

If you're ready — I'm the right person to do it with.

Discover how you lead your life impacts how you lead in all facets of you life.
